A Survey of Drug-coated Balloon Usage Patterns in the Asia-Pacific Region
According to a survey conducted among interventional cardiologists in the Asia-Pacific region, the use of DCB in treatment of patients with High Breeding Risk (HBR), Bifurcation Disease (BD) and Small Vessel Disease is positively related to awareness of the expert consensus paper on the use of DCB. The frequency of usage of DCB is also positively related to treatment of patients. However, both awareness of the expert consensus paper and the frequency of DCB use were not correlated to the use of DCB in the treatment of in-stent restenosis. Dr. An S Ang, Department of Cardiology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore, and colleagues reported in the online June edition of the Journal of Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology.
