Impact of Chronic Kidney Disease on In-Hospital Outcomes of Hospitalizations With Acute Limb Ischemia Undergoing Endovascular Therapy
Data from the National Inpatient Sample (NIS) showed that advanced stages of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD) were associated with worse in-hospital morbidity and mortality, and increased healthcare costs in patients admitted with acute limb ischemia (ALI) and undergoing EVT, Dr. Harsh P. Patel and colleagues, Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital, USA, reported in the August issue of the Journal of Endovascular Therapy.
