Head-to-Head Comparison of Sirolimus- Versus Paclitaxel-Coated Balloon Angioplasty in the Femoropopliteal Artery: The SIRONA Randomized Controlled Trial
The SIRONA trial demonstrated that in patients with femoral popliteal artery disease, the MagicTouch sirolimus-coated balloon (SCB) was non-inferior to the paclitaxel-coated balloon (PCB) in terms of safety and efficacy, according to a study presented by Dr. Ulf Teichgräber, University Hospital Jena, Germany, in the Late-Breaking Clinical Trials session at TCT 2024.
