The Shockwave Intravascular Lithotripsy System for Treatment of Calcified Below-the-Knee Peripheral Arterial Disease: Thirty-Day Outcomes From the Disrupt PAD BTK Ⅱ Study
The Disrupt PAD BTK Ⅱ study demonstrated that treatment of calcified lesions below the knee (BTK) with shockwave intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) significantly reduced residual stenosis rates, had low complication rates, suppressed 30-day adverse events, and improved quality of life (QOL) and clinical outcomes, according to a study presented by Dr. Venita Chandra, Stanford University, USA, in the Late-Breaking Clinical Trials session at VIVA 24.
