The ENBALV trial demonstrated that edoxaban has shown potential as an alternative anticoagulant to warfarin in patients undergoing surgical valve replacement with a bioprosthetic aortic or mitral valve, according to a study presented by Dr. Chisato Izumi, National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center, Japan, in the Late-Breaking Science session at AHA Scientific Sessions 2024.
