Impact of multiple ballooning on coronary lesions as assessed by optical coherence tomography and intravascular ultrasound

In patients with chronic coronary syndrome (CCS) predominantly involving non-calcified lesions, repeated balloon dilations were found to significantly increase lumen area and dissection angle compared to a single balloon dilation, Dr. Yusuke Kanzaki and colleagues, Shinshu University School of Medicine, Japan, reported in the November 1 issue of Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions.
