Aspirin vs. clopidogrel monotherapy after percutaneous coronary intervention: 1-year follow-up of the STOPDAPT-3 trial

The secondary analysis of the STOPDAPT-3 trial demonstrated that among patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) or high bleeding risk (HBR), there was no difference in cardiovascular events or BARC 3/5 bleeding events at one year between aspirin monotherapy and clopidogrel monotherapy initiated after one month of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) following drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation, Dr. Hirotoshi Watanabe and colleagues, Hirakata Kohsai Hospital, Japan reported in the December 14 issue of the European Heart Journal.
