Optimal Predilatation Treatment Before Implantation of a Magmaris Bioresorbable Scaffold in Coronary Artery Stenosis: The OPTIMIS Trial
The OPTIMIS trial demonstrated that lesion preparation using a scoring balloon before the implantation of the Magmaris bioresorbable scaffold (BRS) for coronary artery stenosis resulted in a significantly larger minimum lumen area (MLA) at six months compared to standard non-compliant balloon (NCB) use, Dr. Kirstine Norregaard Hansen and colleagues, Odense University Hospital, Denmark, reported in the January issue of Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions.
