P2Y12 Inhibitor Pretreatment in Non-ST-Segment Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome: The NCDR Chest Pain-MI Registry
The NCDR Chest Pain-MI registry demonstrated significant variability in the administration of P2Y12 inhibitors before coronary angiography in patients with non-ST-elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS) across hospitals and operators. The presence or absence of pretreatment did not affect in-hospital mortality or MI incidence, but in patients who underwent CABG, P2Y12 inhibitor pretreatment was associated with a longer hospital stay, Dr. Hiroki A. Ueyama and colleagues, Emory University School of Medicine, USA, reported in the February 4 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
