The SWEDEHEART registry demonstrated that in patients with NSTEMI and multivessel disease, CABG was associated with lower risks of death, MI, repeat revascularization, and heart failure compared with PCI; however, the survival benefit diminished when the life expectancy was less than five years, Dr. Elmir Omerovic and colleagues, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Sweden, reported in the February 7 issue of the European Heart Journal.
