Impact of Side Branch Predilation in Provisional Bifurcation PCI: PROGRESS-BIFURCATION Registry
The PROGRESS-BIFURCATION registry demonstrated that in provisional PCI for true bifurcation lesions, cases with side branch predilation had higher rates of two-stent strategy and higher technical and procedural success compared with those without predilation, while in-hospital and long-term outcomes were similar, Dr. Pedro E.P. Carvalho and colleagues, Minneapolis Heart Institute and Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, USA, reported in the May 1 issue of Catheterization & Cardiovascular Interventions.
