Among patients with chronic coronary syndrome (CCS) scheduled for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of severely calcified lesions, calcified nodules (CNs) detected on preprocedural non-contrast computed tomography (CT) were independent predictors of adverse outcomes, Dr. Seigo Iwane and colleagues, Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan, reported in the August issue of Circulation Journal.
