LDL-C Levels <40 mg/dL Were Associated With Improved Cardiovascular Outcomes in Japanese Patients With ACS
Patients with ACS who failed to achieve an LDL-C level <70 mg/dL at 8 weeks after PCI were at a markedly increased risk of MACE, defined as cardiac death, spontaneous non-fatal MI, or clinically driven non-target lesion revascularization. Compared with patients with CCS, those with ACS derived greater cardiovascular benefit from LDL-C lowering, according to a study presented by Dr. Yu Kataoka, National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center, in the Late Breaking Clinical Trials session at CVIT 2026.
