Basic Steps for Writing a Medical Research Paper [Part 2]
In this feature, we asked Hiroki Yoshida, a medical statistics consultant and president of DataSeed, Inc., who manages a medical statistics blog, publishes books, and has contributed to The New England Journal of Medicine as a statistical analyst; what kind of thinking should be applied by clinicians who want to start clinical research in the future?
In the second part of the interview, we asked him about his recent thinking on the "P-value," one of the representative statistical indices used in medical papers, as well as his opinions from a statistician's point of view on how to summarize research results in a paper, such as the STOPDAPT-2 ACS study1) in which no statistically significant difference was found. The opinions of the statisticians were also presented.
