Achieving of LDL-C <55 mg/dL and Subsequent Cardiovascular Outcomes in Japanese Patients with Coronary Artery Disease Receiving PCI
Among Japanese patients undergoing PCI, achieving an LDL-C level <55 mg/dL at 2 months after PCI was associated with a lower incidence of cardiovascular events, and further reduction to <40 mg/dL conferred additional cardiovascular benefit, according to a study presented by Dr. Yu Kataoka, National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center, Japan, in the Late Breaking Clinical Cohort Studies session at the 90th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society.
