Atherectomy Devices and Intravascular Lithotripsy for the Preparation of Heavily Calcified Coronary Lesions Registry 1-Year Result: The Dual-Prep Registry
The Dual-Prep Registry demonstrated that among patients with severely calcified coronary lesions undergoing PCI with an atherectomy plus intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) “Dual-Prep” strategy, the 1-year incidence of MACE (cardiac death, MI, and clinically driven TVR) was low, and larger reference vessel diameter and greater residual stenosis after stent implantation were associated with MACE, according to a study presented by Dr. Masato Nakamura, Toho University Ohashi Medical Center, Japan, in the Late Breaking Cohort Studies session at the 90th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society.
