IVUS- vs OCT- vs Angiography-Guided PCI for Complex Coronary Lesions: A Network Meta-Analysis of Randomized Trials
In a lesion-level network meta-analysis of randomized trials, OCT-guided and IVUS-guided PCI were both associated with a significant reduction in MACE (cardiac death, MI, and TVR) compared with angiography-guided PCI among patients undergoing DES implantation for complex coronary lesions, with no difference in MACE risk between OCT- and IVUS-guided PCI, Dr. Pedro E. P. Carvalho and colleagues, Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, USA, reported in the January 12 issue of JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions.
