Intravascular lithotripsy vs Atherectomy for Complex Calcified Coronary Lesions: The ROLLING STONE Registry
The ROLLING STONE registry demonstrated that in PCI for calcified coronary lesions, procedural success rates were comparable between intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) and rotational/orbital atherectomy, whereas the 30-day incidence of MACE (cardiac death, MI, and TVR) was lower with IVL, Dr. Enrico Cerrato and colleagues, San Luigi Gonzaga University Hospital, Italy, reported in the March 9 issue of JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions.
