Clopidogrel alone after 1 month DAPT vs aspirin alone after 12 months DAPT in patients undergoing EES implantation: 5-year follow-up of the STOPDAPT-2 trial
A Five-year follow-up of the STOPDAPT-2 trial showed that clopidogrel alone after one month of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) was non-inferior to aspirin alone after 12 months of continuous DAPT in patients who received a Xience everolimus- eluting stent (EES). Clopidogrel monotherapy after one month was also non-inferior in the evaluation of composite events of ischemia and bleeding at 5 years compared to aspirin monotherapy after 12 months of DAPT. Dr. Hirotoshi Watanabe, Hirakata kohsai Hospital, presented at the TCT WorldLink Forum session at TCT 2023.
