Outcomes of PCI for CTO in Dialysis Patients: Insights From the Japanese CTO-PCI Expert Registry
The Japanese CTO-PCI Expert Registry demonstrated that among patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for chronic total occlusion (CTO), those receiving dialysis had a lower technical success rate and a higher incidence of access-site complications compared with non-dialysis patients, while the risk of MACCE did not differ between the groups, Dr. Mayu Sakuma and colleagues, The Cardiovascular Institute, Japan, reported in the August 1 issue of Catheterization & Cardiovascular Interventions.
