In patients undergoing PCI for coronary bifurcation lesions using the double-kissing mini-crush (DKMC) technique, the technical failure rate was approximately 10%, and performing proximal optimization technique (POT) after side-branch stent crushing was associated with a reduced need for additional medical resources, Dr. Florian Weidinger and colleagues, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen–Nürnberg, Germany, reported in the October 1 issue of Catheterization & Cardiovascular Interventions.
