Predictors of atrial fibrillation recurrence after catheter ablation/electrical cardioversion: a meta-analysis
A meta-analysis of 31 observational studies and randomized trials shows that there are no factors with convincing evidence regarding the risk of arrhythmia recurrence after catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation, and that the use of antiarrhythmic drugs may increase the success rate of DC cardioversion. Dr. Emmanouil Charitakis, Linkoping University, Sweden and colleagues reported in the January issue of EP Europace.
