Live Reformation: How Live Courses Can Survive in the 4.0 Era, Vol. 5
The Transition of Live Courses (Live 1.0 - Live 3.0)
Table 1 summarizes the transition of live courses from the Live 1.0 era to the Live 3.0 era. Live 1.0 is defined as the four major live courses: Kokura Live, Kamakura Live, Kurashiki Live, and CCT (formerly Naka Nihon Live and CCIC), and the timeline is defined from the original launch of Kokura Live in 1984 all the way through to 1995. The organizers were Dr. Masakiyo Nobuyoshi, who having taught himself the technique of PCI was responsible for its spread throughout Japan, and the cardiologists who learned it from him. The late Dr. Kazuaki Mitsudo of Kurashiki Central Hospital, Dr. Shigeru Saito of Shonan Kamakura General Hospital, and Dr. Takahiko Suzuki of Toyohashi Heart Center, who were close friends with and influenced by Dr. Nobuyoshi, together launched the Live Course in order to establish treatment for complex lesions in the Live 1.0 era and improve upon them on a technical level.
