Factors and Outcomes Associated with Crossover from GlideLight Sheath to Evolution RL Sheath During Transvenous Lead Extraction
An observational study from a single institution in Japan found that about half of patients who underwent transvenous lead removal of an implantable cardiac electrical device with a GlideLight laser sheath required crossover to the Evolution system, but clinical success rates did not differ with or without a crossover. Dr. Tsuyoshi Isawa and colleagues of Sendai Kousei Hospital reported in the online edition of the Journal of Arrhythmia.
