Effect of Alcohol-Mediated Renal Denervation on Blood Pressure in the Presence of Antihypertensive Medications: Primary Results From the TARGET BP I Randomized Clinical Trial
The TARGET BP I trial demonstrated that renal denervation (RDN) with alcohol showed a small but significant reduction in 24-hour ambulatory systolic blood pressure (SBP) at 3 months compared with the sham control in hypertensive patients taking antihypertensive medication, Dr. David E. Kandzari and colleagues, Piedmont Heart Institute, U.S., reported in the June 11 issue of Circulation.
