Impact of Guideline-Directed Medical Therapy on 2-Year Mortality in Japanese Patients Undergoing Endovascular Therapy for Femoropopliteal Lesions: LEADers-FP Registry
The LEADers-FP registry demonstrated that guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) with three agents—antiplatelet therapy, statins, and renin-angiotensin system (RAS) inhibitors—may reduce the 2-year risk of all-cause mortality, cardiovascular death, and cardio-cerebrovascular death in Japanese patients who underwent endovascular therapy (EVT) for femoropopliteal artery lesions, according to a study presented by Dr. Tatsuro Takei, Tenyoukai Central Hospital, Japan, in the Late Breaking Clinical Trials session of the 89th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society.
