Comparison of the Prognosis between Drug-eluting Stents and Drug-coated Balloon in Small Vessel Coronary Lesions in Hemodialysis Patients
In hemodialysis (HD) patients with small coronary vessel disease, PCI using DES was associated with a significantly lower risk of TLR compared to DCB, although there was no difference in major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE: cardiovascular death, non-fatal MI, or stroke), according to a study presented by Dr. Hirotaka Yano, Yokosuka Kyosai Hospital, Japan, in the poster session at the 89th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society.
