Aspirin vs P2Y12 Inhibitor Monotherapy After Short-Term DAPT in Patients With ACS Undergoing PCI: A Meta-Analysis
A meta-analysis of randomized trials demonstrated that among patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), P2Y12 inhibitor monotherapy after short-term dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) significantly reduced the risks of net adverse clinical events (NACE) and any bleeding events compared with aspirin monotherapy, Dr. Claudio Laudani and colleagues, University of Catania, Italy, reported in the August 11 issue of JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions.
