Comparison of Drug-Coated Versus Conventional Balloons for Treatment of Side Branches of Bifurcation Lesions: The OCVC-BIF Study
The OCVC-BIF trial demonstrated that among patients with coronary bifurcation lesions, performing additional side-branch dilatation with a drug-coated balloon (DCB) after main-branch DES implantation and kissing balloon inflation (KBI) significantly reduced side-branch restenosis, according to a study presented by Dr. Takayuki Ishihara, Kansai Rosai Hospital, Japan, in the Late-Breaking Clinical Science session at TCT 2025.
