Intravascular Imaging-Guided PCI vs CABG in Patients With Left Main or Three-Vessel Disease
A pooled analysis of approximately 7,000 patients with left main (LM) or three-vessel disease enrolled in the RENOVATE-COMPLEX-PCI trial and the Samsung Medical Center registry demonstrated that PCI was associated with a significantly higher 3-year risk of all-cause death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, or stroke compared with CABG, whereas intravascular imaging-guided PCI achieved outcomes comparable to CABG, Dr. Sang Yoon Lee and colleagues, Samsung Medical Center, South Korea, reported in the September 8 issue of JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions.
