Antithrombotic therapy in ACS patients with atrial fibrillation in Japanese practice: STAR-ACS
STAR-ACS has found that the majority of patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing PCI for ACS in Japan today received DOACs as their anticoagulant of choice, with the number of prescriptions for antiplatelet agents decreasing over time, but the proportion of patients on three-drug antithrombotic therapy at two years was higher for patients who received warfarin than in those who received DOAC, as presented by Dr. Hiroshi Iwata of Juntendo University at the Late Breaking Cohort Studies session of the 87th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society.
