Sirolimus- vs Paclitaxel-Coated Balloon for Coronary In-Stent Restenosis: The TIS 2 Trial
The TIS 2 trial demonstrated that in the treatment of coronary in-stent restenosis (ISR) of bare-metal stents (BMS-ISR) or drug-eluting stents (DES-ISR), sirolimus-coated balloons (SCB) failed to show non-inferiority to paclitaxel-coated balloons (PCB) with respect to 12-month in-segment late lumen loss, Dr. Leos Pleva and colleagues, University Hospital Ostrava, Czech Republic, reported in the May issue of Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions.
