Clinical Impact of OCT-Guided Primary PCI in Patients With STEMI: The TACTICS Registry
The TACTICS Registry demonstrated that among patients with STEMI who underwent OCT-guided PCI, those with calcified nodules (CN) had a significantly higher incidence of 1-year MACE (cardiovascular death, MI, heart failure, and ischemia-driven revascularization) compared with patients with plaque rupture (PR) or plaque erosion (PE), Dr. Naoki Matsukawa and colleagues, Showa Medical University, Japan, reported in the March issue of the Circulation Journal.
