Long-term Outcomes after Imaging and Physiology-guided PCI: Extended Follow-Up of the FLAVOUR Trial
The FLAVOUR trial demonstrated that in patients with intermediate coronary stenosis, an FFR-guided strategy was associated with a lower PCI rate at the time of randomization compared with an IVUS-guided strategy. Although an increase in target vessel revascularization (TVR) was observed in the FFR group during long-term follow-up, there was no difference in hard outcomes between the two groups, and the overall PCI rate for the target vessel was significantly lower in the FFR group, according to a study presented by Dr. Bon-Kwon Koo, Seoul National University Hospital, South Korea, in the Hotline/Late-Breaking Trials session at EuroPCR 2025.
