Multiple vs Single-Vessel CTO-PCI During the Same Procedure: The PROGRESS-CTO Registry
The PROGRESS-CTO Registry demonstrated that PCI for multiple CTOs performed during the same procedure was associated with similar technical and procedural success rates compared with single-CTO PCI, although procedure duration was longer, radiation and contrast volumes were higher, and use of percutaneous ventricular assistance devices was more frequent, Dr. Dimitrios Strepkos and colleagues, Minneapolis Heart Institute and Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, United States, reported in the December 15 issue of The American Journal of Cardiology.
