Intravascular Lithotripsy in Diabetic Patients Undergoing PCI: The BENELUX-IVL Registry
The BENELUX-IVL Registry demonstrated that among patients undergoing PCI, the use of intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) in diabetic patients was associated with comparable procedural success to non-diabetic patients, with higher 30-day MACE but no difference in 1- and 2-year MACE risk, Dr. Akshay A.S. Phagu and colleagues, Leiden University Medical Center, the Netherlands, reported in the February 1 issue of The American Journal of Cardiology.
