Clinical Characteristics and Outcomes of PCI for In-Stent Restenosis vs De Novo Coronary Artery Disease
Clinical data from a large Australian registry demonstrated that patients undergoing PCI for ISR were older and had a higher burden of comorbidities compared with those undergoing PCI for de novo lesions, and although in-hospital mortality was lower, long-term mortality beyond 10 years was higher in the ISR group, Dr. Millie Watkins and colleagues, Royal Melbourne Hospital, reported in the March 1 issue of The American Journal of Cardiology.
